Villain is the new Malayalam crime thriller movie starring Mohanlal, Vishal,Manju Warrier, Raashi Khanna, Hansika Motwani, and Srikanth.The movie is written and directed by B Unnikrishnan.On 27th October Villain gets a grand welcome by both fans and family audience with mixed worms.Villain is the first Indian film that completely filmed and released in 8K resolution.Villain is one of the most expensive film made in Mollywood.Its budget is considered to be more than 25Cr. It is also the debut malayalam movie of Vishal and Hansika.As predicted earlier Villain started to break the existing boxoffice records in Kerala.

But Villain also failed to break SS Rajamouli's Bahubali 2 and Thalapathy Vijay starring Mersal day 1 figures in Kerala boxoffice. Bahubali 2 still holds the opening day record of any language movie in Kerala with whopping 6.27Cr on its first day. Mersal is now in second spot with 6.10Cr and Villain managed to attain third spot with 4.91Cr.
Mohanlal earlier best was the Industry Hit Pulimurugan Day 1 record of 4.08Cr.Now Mohanlal is the malayalam actor with most day 1 record figures in Kerala Boxoffice.
