Vivegam Final Boxoffice Collection Report

Vivegam is the 3rd movie from Thala Ajith and Siva combination after hit Veeram and blockbuster Vedhalam. Before it's release also Vivegam make so many records. Vivegam teaser creates a strom in Youtube and becomes the most liked teaser in the world. Later Vivegam teaser record was breaked by Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal. Vivegam did a record pre release business of 120Cr which is highest ever for an Ajith movie. The broadcast rights of Vivegam sold for 23Cr. Vivegam hit screens world wide on August 24 2017 with lot of expectation in Tamil and Telugu language. Along with Ajith in the lead role Vivek Oberoi,Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan playing the supporting roles. However the movie gets mixed reports from both audience and film critics.

Vivegam register a record day 1 figure of 30Cr in its opening day from world wide boxoffice which is highest for an Ajith movie. Vivegam made a Non Rajinikanth record in Tamilnadu on its opening day with 16.3Cr. Vivegam collects 20Cr and 10Cr respectively from India and Overseas. But the mixed reviews affect its boxoffice performance in the next days.However Vivegam managed to cross 100Cr world wide in 12 days. And it becomes the 2nd movie to cross 100cr mark after Vedhalam for Thala Ajith and 3rd Tamil movie of the year after Bhairavaa and Singam 3 which collect 115Cr and 108Cr respectively. In Chennai city Vivegam makes a record breaking collection and managed to cross prestigious 10Cr mark. It becomes the first movie of Thala Ajith to do so in Chennai region.

The high production budget and rights make Vivegam a loss venture in most of the areas. Vivegam managed to collect a final gross of 128Cr World Wide in its life time run and becomes the top grossing movie of Thala Ajith by beating his previous movie Vedhalam which collect 125Cr World Wide. Also Vivegam managed to beat Vijay's Bhairavaa and Suriya's Singam 3 final collection. Vivegam ends its run in Tamilnadu with 68Cr which is second best for Ajith in the state behind Vedhalam which collect 71Cr. In Tamilnadu and Kerala Vivegam declared as an disaster. Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Overseas region its an average venture for buyers. Overall Vivegam declared as an Flop Movie.
