Spyder Final Collection Report

Spyder hit screens with huge expectations because of ARM Mahesh combo.It is also the first Tamil movie of Mahesh Babu.Due to hype created before release Spyder makes a new non bahubali record with 156Cr in its pre release business for a Telugu movie.Unfortunatly it was a total failure in boxoffice and turn out to be the biggest disaster in Tollywood history.The bad time of Mahesh Babu is still continue .The only hit of Mahesh Babu in recent years is Srimanthudu.

From Andhra and Telungana Spyder makes a life time collection of 52Cr which is too small for a Mahesh film in recent times.The negative talk affected the movie very much.Total area rights which was sold for 70Cr.Spyder gets a share of 32Cr only from Andhra and Telungana.In Tamilnadu also Spyder make a record pre release business with 18Cr and made a life time time collection of 25Cr also a disaster in these area. Another strong zone for Telugu movies is Karnataka but here also Spyder got a disaster result.Karnataka rights of Spyder sold for 10.8Cr and Spyder is able to collect only 12Cr gross and a share of 5.5Cr and turn out be a big disaster.From Kerala it collect a 2.5Cr and from overseas market a total of 18Cr. And finally Spyder turn out to be the biggest disaster in South Indian Cinema history and Second biggest in Indian Cinema after Bombay Velvet.

The sad truth is not even in one area Spyder got a good run.This is truly an un predictable result for a top Director like AR Murugodos who gives Blockbusters like Thuppakki and Kaththi.And a top star like Mahesh Babu Spyder is going to be a black spot in his career.We can hope that Mahesh Babu will come out from this bad time with his next movie for AR Murugodos also.Next Project of ARM is Thalapathy 62 which is Blockbuster combination of Vijay and ARM which gives Kollywood films like Thuppakki and Kaththi.
